WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Railers dropped off nearly $5,000 worth of toys at the Friendly House Tuesday.
The toys came from the Railers' 'Teddy Bear Toss' game and the team's booster club's toy drive. The team said whether there is pro hockey or not in Worcester, the booster club always makes sure kids at the Friendly House will have presents.
"We have a very unique relationship with the friendly house that spans many years," said Railers COO Mike Myers. "This tradition is something the fans, especially the booster club, has clung onto over the years. Even the years of Worcester pro hockey, even when there wasn't a team here, our booster club made sure toys were given during the holidays."
This is the fifth year the Railers have held their Teddy Bear Toss Game.
