LEICESTER, Mass. - After 60 years, Rotmans Furniture is closing its doors, but the Rotman family has plenty to show for the six decades the business has spent in the heart of the commonwealth.

The family's personal collection of historical items, antiques and collectibles, all related to Worcester and Worcester county, is up for grabs. Central Mass Auctions is giving the public a chance to check out some of these items over the weekend. Spectrum News 1 stopped by Friday for a sneak peak.

"I've been somewhat private, so this has not really been seen by many people," Steve Rotman said. "So in a sense, I feel that it's my duty in a sense to pass it on so that somebody else could view it and enjoy it."

The Rotman collection is one of the largest Worcester area memorabilia collections in private hands with 700 items. They are currently being sold in an online auction by Central Mass Auctions.
