WORCESTER, Mass. - Angelo LaRose turned in his No. 6 jersey and wore 37 for South High School on Wednesday afternoon. It's the number his father, South head coach Bob LaRose, wore during his playing days for the Colonels.

The new look didn't slow the senior running back down. He rushed for four touchdowns and caught a fifth to help lead South to a 48-16 win over North. With the win, the Colonels earned the Inter-High championship and the Owen Ryder Cup for the first time since 1988. Quarterback Ransford Adri accounted for three scores for the Colonels (9-2).

Worcester Tech (6-5) closed out their season with a 26-6 win over Abby Kelley at Berkshire Bank Field. Quarterback Gabe Thorin paced the offense early for the Eagles who earned a division five playoff berth this season. The Bears (4-7) started the season 3-0 with wins over North, Burncoat and Bartlett.
