SHREWSBURY, Mass. - UPS is gearing up for the busy holiday season. They are already making more deliveries, but things will really pick up after Thanksgiving.

Around the holidays, UPS hires about 60,000 additional workers across the country. The Worcester county facility operates with about 100 employees year-round. That number will jump to about 180 for the holidays.

UPS said there's no concerns with their workforce, the number of seasonal employees this year is similar to last year.

"People are out in the workforce, our hiring has been steady, so we are seeing, you know, people coming in weekly and daily," human resources  representative Jennifer Lefevre said. "We really haven't seen a lot of concerns with our workforce. They've already been there, they've been working and they are continuing to work."

UPS is currently offering a referral bonus. Employees will get $1,000 if they recommend a new employee.
