WORCESTER, Mass. - The Bancroft girls varsity volleyball team qualified for the Class D New England Championship Tournament, marking a return to postseason play.

Bancroft is set to play Chapel-Hill Chauncy Hall Wednesday. They beat this team earlier this season and are trying to do the same again this week.

Players said they're working together and are confident ahead of Wednesday's match.

"We’ve been in the playoffs before, but never in a way where we feel so excited and prepared for it,” captain Abby Epple said. “Last year was kind of not quite feeling as good coming into the big game, so now that were coming into it it's a lot of feeling prepared and very exciting for it."

"We’re definitely preparing, we're reminding them how we won the first time against them, so just working on some specific coverages things, things like that,” coach Emily Boutilette said.

If Bancroft wins Wednesday, they'll play Saturday in the semifinals, with the finals scheduled for Sunday.
