LEE, Mass. - Two businesses in the Berkshires are coming together to elevate the local cannabis industry.
Canna Provisions dispensary in Lee has partnered with the town’s first legal cannabis cultivation company – Aruna.
Canna Provisions tries to offer a unique experience in their popular Lee store to capture the look and feel of the Berkshires.
While Aruna says they’re unique in being the first sun-grown indoor facility in the state; and possibly east of the Mississippi.
The store and the grow facility are about a three-minute drive away from each other.
It’s a partnership both owners say they’re excited to see continue to grow and help boost local business.
“You have the retail component, and you also have the cultivation component that are coming together," Aruna CEO Harsh Patel said. "Not only in the same community, but also in terms of, you know, future cannabis networking. Whether that’s continued partnership, events, cannabis network gatherings that can be hosted in Berkshire County. I think a lot is going to come out of this one partnership."
“Harsh is a very good friend and we’ve been watching him build out his grow for a while now," Canna Provisions CEO Meg Sanders said. "And we’re thrilled to partner with another Lee business to really elevate what’s going on in our town and also in the Berkshires.
Typically cannabis is either grown indoors in a very controlled setting, our outside in the elements. Aruna says their sealed greenhouse facility offers the “best of both worlds."
