WORCESTER, Mass. — With just days away from the election, Maura Healey stopped in Central and Western Massachusetts Saturday looking to meet with voters.

The Democrat, joined by elected officials in the area, hosted a canvas kickoff in Worcester’s Elm Park.

Healey also made a stop in Springfield, while her running mate, Kim Driscoll, campaigned in the eastern part of the state.

Healey said there are many issues she’s looking to address if elected, and is hoping people head to the polls Tuesday to cast their vote.

“Affordability, cost-of-living right now is a great challenge,” Healey said. “And also, people are tired of the noise, tired of the vitriol. They see what’s happening across this country and too many looking to divide. I think they appreciate a message that Kim Driscoll and I are offering, as well as the entire ticket, which is really about let’s deliver for people. Let’s bring people together, let’s work mon solving problems and moving us forward.”

Healey and Driscoll face a challenge in Geoff Diehl and Leah Allen, who are on the Republican ticket for governor this year.

While in Worcester last weekend, Diehl also pointed to affordability in Massachusetts as a major issue he’d like to tackle if elected.

He’ll be in Worcester Sunday evening for a rally at Mechanics Hall.
