WORCESTER, Mass. - For the last time this season, the Worcester Red Sox took the field for a home game at Polar Park.
Fans flocked to the Canal District for the team's home finale. It was something they did all year long.
According to the WooSox, Worcester's fans will finish in the top five in attendance in all of minor league baseball this season. The club will surpass the 530,000 mark in attendance with Sunday's 42nd sellout crowd of the season.
After Sunday, the WooSox say it will be 186 days until they take the field at Polar Park once again.
Sunday isn't the end of the season for the WooSox. They have three more games this week before they wrap up their 2022 campaign.
There will be plenty of events throughout the offseason at Polar Park, including the Holy Cross football game against Bucknell in October.
