WORCESTER, Mass. - Holy Cross QB Matt Sluka passed for 242 yards and 2 TDs and ran for 102 yards and 1 TD in leading Holy Cross to an opening week 31-17 victory over Merrimack.

Sluka has been a threat in both the passing game and running game since taking over the starting job as a freshman two years ago. This past spring and summer, he worked hard in the weight room adding five pounds of muscle, as well as watching a lot of film.

All that hard work behind the scenes is paying off on the field this season for the junior signal caller.

Hear from Sluka and his teammates in the video above.
