WORCESTER, Mass. - Two local veterans and their families are the recipients of new playhouses from Habitat for Humanity.
The organization and their sponsors, Nouria Energy and the National Advisory Group for Convenience Retail, spent Wednesday building the playhouses. Each family was able to select a theme for their playhouse based on their child or grandchild’s interests.
"As a neighborhood company we always look to serve the community in anyway we can” said Joseph Hamza of Nouria Energy. “Whether it’s football games or baseball games or community events, anything we can do to support our community is something we are very actively involved in and support."
The families were able to take the completed playhouses home along with some new toys on Wednesday.
The houses have real shingles and durable walls, so they could be played in for years to come.
