WORCESTER, Mass. - In Worcester, more than 800 people participated in early voting and the city has already received 5,000 of the 10,000 ballots they sent by mail.

Worcester City Clerk Niko Vangjeli said while he was hoping for a larger turnout, there will be even more options for voters in the November general election.

"The residents have that option and they're going to have more options come November with 14 days of in person early voting for the November election,” said Vangjeli. “I think mail in was a lot more successful if you compare the two you look at 5,000 ballots returned for mail in and 800 for early voting so certainly mail in has proven more popular for this election."

If you still have a mail in ballot, Vangjeli recommends putting them in a drop box rather than mailing them because they need all ballots by 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

He is also urging people voting on Tuesday to make sure polling locations haven't changed after redistricting.
