WORCESTER, Mass. — The Worcester Red Sox wrapped up another home stand on Sunday dropping a 3-2 decision to Rochester. The WooSox have just two more home series left this season.

Earlier this year, the team reported the highest average attendance among Triple-A teams. They also recorded several sellout crowds.

Sunday, as the team faced the Red Wings, it was a similar scene except with some notable guests.

It was the WooSox second ‘Bark in the Park’ of the season and the team encouraged fans to bring their dogs with them. Some fans even brought cats.

The team says they’re proud of the turnout so far this year.

“Throughout the entire season, we’ve been in the top three or five in attendance. We’ve seen a lot of success, which is great,” Vice President of Marketing, Steve Oliveira, said. “Especially with Worcester being a smaller city than a lot of the other cities you’ll see in the top five, like Las Vegas, or a Nashville or a Charlotte. We’re really proud of the fan support here in Worcester all year long.”

The WooSox are on the road this week, but will return to Polar Park on Aug. 30 for their next home stand.
