WORCESTER, Mass. - Downtown Worcester roads were completely shut down for the Tercentennial Parade.
City leaders, local businesses, and nonprofit organizations marched from the grove street area all the way to City Hall. The parade featured a number of marchers, cars, and some awesome floats as thousands lined the streets to cheer them on. Worcester's community was represented by bands, cultural institutions like the Ecotarium, and a number of organizations that represent the city's diverse population. Parade watchers were excited to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
"It’s awesome to be here," said one spectator. "And look at all these people here. Just wonderful, wonderful. Celebrating life, diversity, and embracing each other."
"I think the parade is great," said another spectator. "And the best part about it brings all our friends together."

The parade lasted for well over an hour, and spectators lucked out and got a really nice day for it!
