WORCESTER, Mass. - The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester is offering a sneak peek of a new Black History exhibit.

The Worcester Black History Trail will open next month. The markers, which are now on display at the Boys & Girls Club, will be located throughout the city.

Executive director Liz Hamilton said each marker has historical significance to Worcester’s Black community.

“I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity for us to learn about Black history, but specifically its impact on Worcester,” Hamilton said. “So we’re very thrilled to be able to host it.”

The Black History Trail is a collaboration between the City of Worcester, the College of the Holy Cross and the Worcester branch of the NAACP. They will officially unveil the Black History Trail on June 2 at 5:30 p.m. on John Street in Worcester.

The Boys & Girls Club will host an open house preview of the trail markers on May 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
