WORCESTER, Mass. - The UMass Memorial Stop the Spread COVID-19 testing site at the Mercantile Center is moving to a different part of the building on Monday.

The site is moving back to their original location at the front side of the building facing Front Street.

The Massachusetts Department of Health has requested that the site continue until June 30.

With an uptick of cases in the city, Dr. Eric Dickson said it’s important to go get tested

“We still recommend that people get tested for COVID if they do get a runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever, anything like that,” Dr. Dickson said. “Because that person should be isolated and kept away from others, especially those with risk for severe disease.”

The testing site is open on Mondays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Thursdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointment is required. Testing and vaccinations will be available.
