WORCESTER, Mass. — Downtown Worcester will feel a little bit like Nashville this week, as Off The Rails Music Venue opens.
The Commercial Street venue's first performance is country music band Sawyer Brown.
Ricky Duran will perform at the venue Saturday, with Liam Coleman, from Charlton, as the opening act.
The Off The Rails music venue took over some of the parking area behind The Palladium and has room for more than 500 people.
Duran, who grew up in Grafton and was the runner up on "The Voice" in 2019 said he's happy to be back in Massachusetts.
“There's actually not so many venues in Worcester so I’m psyched this one opened up and I’m psyched to be opening up for the show,” said Duran.
Off The Rails said it's the first new music venue in Worcester in more than 40 years.
It's owned by Cliff Rucker, who also owns the Worcester Railers Hockey Club.
