WEST BOYLSTON, Mass. - A church in West Boylston took Easter to the next level Sunday with an egg drop.
Next Level Church delivered hundreds of eggs by helicopter to the West Boylston High School football field.
The eggs were dumped onto the grass. Once the helicopter was safely out of the way hundreds of kids ran to scoop up their prizes.
Kids were separated into four age groups to collect more than 3,000 total eggs filled with candy and other treats.
"Those kids were so energetic today,” Next Level Church pastor Bryan Levangie said. “They had smiles, they were cheering, and they could not wait to see the helicopter and get some eggs today. I am so grateful we were able to have Easter today in-person. These last couple of years have been so difficult for so many. People need a message of hope. They need to know that there is a God who desperately wants to have a relationship with them. I was able to share that today in an Easter message. And then we’re able to come out here amongst all the families and just have a great time with the helicopter egg drop.”
Every Next Level Church location had an egg drop Sunday.
They span throughout New England as well as Florida.
