WORCESTER, Mass. - When you think of Easter, you think of a few things: eggs, the Easter Bunny and, of course, candy.
Some local businesses in the Worcester Public Market were busy preparing for the holiday.
The Sweet Life is a locally-owned, award-winning candy shop inside the market.
"Business for Easter has been picking up definitely. We have locally handcrafted truffles," The Sweet Life owner Anisa Sbat said. "We're a small booth but we do pump out a lot."
"A lot of people love our sea salt caramels and our hazelnut - that one actually just restocked," employee Nicole Byrnes said. "We also have tons for kids like s’mores and French toast. So there's really a bit for everyone here, which is great."
Sweet Pan Gourmet also offers a variety of Brazilian sweets.
Izabella Luiz and her daughter Laura Perez welcomed customers all day on Saturday.
"We have Brazilian sweets. The name is brigadeiro. It's a famous sweet from brazil," Sweet Pan Gourmet owner Izabella Luiz said. "It's like a truffle. And today we have a special for Easter. We have brigadeiro Easter eggs."
Both stands are glad to see the nice weather bring in more customers.
The Worcester Public Market will be closed on Easter Sunday but will reopen on Wednesday, April 20.
