WORCESTER, Mass. - A motor vehicle crash on Pleasant Street involving a 14-year-old female driver is under investigation by the Worcester Police Department.

Around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were called to the scene of a rollover near 642 Pleasant St. between Newton Square and Park Avenue.

When officers arrived, a Jeep was lying on its side in the westbound lane with a Toyota Camry next to it. The driver of the Jeep, a 14-year-old female, was standing inside of the vehicle and unable to exit. 

The Camry’s 70-year-old male driver and 66-year-old female passenger were injured. 

All three people were treated by medical personnel at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the initial investigation reveals the Camry was traveling west on Pleasant Street in the left lane and the Jeep was traveling in the same direction in the right lane. The Jeep changed lanes and collided into the Camry, causing the Jeep to rollover.

Police are investigating the circumstances around the crash and why a 14-year-old was driving the Jeep.
