WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's basketball team is looking forward to keeping their historic season going. 

The Crusaders earned a bid in the 2022 Postseason Women's Basketball National Invitation Tournament, leading the Patriot League and maintaining a 20-10 overall standing.

Their appearance in the WNIT is only their second in the team's history. Their previous appearance dates back to March 14, 2002, which saw a a 70-63 defeat to the Vermont Catamounts in Burlington.

Last week, Holy Cross lost to Navy in the Patriot League quarterfinals, but earned the postseason opportunity by winning the Patriot League regular season title.

Holy Cross will be travelling to New York City to face Columbia on Wednesday night. This will be the first time that the two teams meet.

The game will begin at 7:00 p.m., airing live on ESPN 3 and streaming on ESPN's website.
