Every kid who plays football growing up, dreams of one day playing in the NFL.
For a handful of local guys who had great college careers, the next step for them is impressing NFL scouts at a Pro Day combine, either at their school or a school nearby.
In recent years, the recipe for the Central Mass. kids has been to work out at Exceed Sports Performance and Fitness for 8 to 10 weeks with Sean Smith and Shane Davenport. These two get results, getting their guys to jump higher, run a faster 40 yard dash and do more reps on the bench.
Our Kevin Shea, who covered these guys on the Friday Night Football Frenzy, caught up with JJ Howland (Tantasqua, Yale), Cole McCubrey (West Boylston, UMASS/Bentley) Aaron Adu (Doherty, Temple/Western Illinois) and Kevin Mensah (Shepherd Hill/Holy Name, UCONN) as they prepare for their pro days.
