WORCESTER, Mass. - College commencement season is once again fast approaching in Worcester.
As a result of easing COVID-19 restrictions and a drop in daily new cases throughout the region, all nine Worcester-area institutions plan to hold in-person commencement ceremonies in the coming months. For many schools, this will be their first fully in-person ceremony since 2019, before the start of the pandemic.
Below is a list of dates and additional information for all Worcester area colleges. (Note: This page will be continuously updated in the coming weeks as additional information is released, and dates for these ceremonies get closer.)
Anna Maria College
When: Monday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m.
Where: DCU Center: 50 Foster St, Worcester, MA 01608
Tickets: Not required. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis.

Assumption University
When: Sunday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m.

Tickets: Open to the public, no tickets required. Graduates may invite up to two guests.
Restrictions: No restrictions have been announced. Assumption University has stated that they will continue to monitor the current COVID-19 situation and update policies if needed.

Clark University

College of the Holy Cross
When: Friday, May 27 at 10:30 a.m.

Tickets: Holy Cross currently does not plan to limit the number of guests per student.
Restrictions: Guests must be fully vaccinated, including booster shots, or have received a negative test three days prior to arrival. Holy Cross will update their policies reflective of the current COVID-19 situation.

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences - Worcester
When: Thursday, May 12 (time TBD)

Tickets: 6 per student. Seating is first come, first serve.
Restrictions: Face masks required, graduates may remove them briefly on stage for photos. MCPHS asks that those who are symptomatic or exposed to COVID-19 do not attend the event. Policies are subject to change.

UMass Chan Medical School

Tickets: Tickets are not required, though guests must be pre-registered. Students may reserve seats for guests if they choose.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute
When: Saturday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m.
Where: WPI Campus Quad: 100 Institute Road, Worcester, MA 01609
Tickets: Students will receive 4 tickets each to distribute to guests.
Restrictions: Attendance will be limited to students, guests with tickets, and participants/staff of commencement. Those who are syptomatic or exposed to COVID-19 are asked not to come to campus.

Worcester State University
When: Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m
Where: DCU Center: 50 Foster St, Worcester, MA 01608
Tickets: Students will receive six tickets each to provide to guests. Should students not need all six tickets, they may give them to others who wish to bring more guests. Accessibility tickets are also available upon request.
Restrictions: Guests must be fully vaccinated or have received a negative test three days prior to arrival. Face coverings are required and must be a N95, KN95 or surgical mask. Cloth masks alone are not acceptable. Speakers at the podium are able to remove their masks.
