WORCESTER, Mass. - If you’re looking for a fun and educational way to spend some of the February break with your kids, the EcoTarium in Worcester is offering several activities.

The science and nature museum is hosting Eco Engineering Week, teaching kids how nature influences objects and designs.

Kids can build and test creative eco engineering solutions, like looking at how birds build nests depending on their culture and habitat and why scientists are creating bridges across highways for wildlife.

“It’s really great to have kids who are out of school doing a lot of learning through play. We know that’s really important,” Rachel Quimby, EcoTarium’s public programs coordinator, said. “Learning through exploration, getting hands on with stuff they might not always get in school. So we’re just so happy to be able to provide that for families around here. You’re learning, but it’s also really fun, and that’s what’s going to make the learning stick.”

The museum is offering free admission on Tuesday, Feb. 22. Masks are required inside the EcoTarium.
