Friday marked a somber anniversary in the firefighting community. It's the 22nd anniversary of the Worcester cold storage warehouse fire.
On December 3, 1999, firefighter Paul Brotherton, Lt. Timothy Jackson, firefighter Jeremiah Lucey, Lt. James Lyons, firefighter Joseph McGuirk and Lt. Thomas Spencer died while searching the building for two homeless people. The site of the fire is now home to the Franklin Street fire station and a memorial honoring the 'Worcester Six.'
Numerous fire departments have turned to social media to remember the fallen and their families.
