WORCESTER, Mass. - A tour of Worcester Technical High School's Innovation Pathway Program highlights the importance of "real world" experience for students.
Throughout the program, students commit to two years of college and career planning classes, two years of technical classes at Worcester Tech, and a 100-hour internship during the summer or a capstone project by the end of their senior year.
Students are able to work in high demand industries like information technology, engineering, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing.
"Worcester Tech is partnering with local manufacturers, local consulting firms, and creating pathways for young high school students to gain the skill set to join our workforce at a time where our workforce really needs it and ultimately to gain a path to the middle class."
Applications for the Fall 2022 semester will be available in February. Priority will be given to freshmen, but is open to tenth graders as well.
