WORCESTER, Mass. — Small Business Saturday is a big day for many shops, eateries and stores across the country, as people support businesses in their communities.
Pucci's Fine Jewelry on West Boylston Street will be closing its doors in early 2022 after more than 30 years in business. Saturday marked a hybrid of Small Business Saturday and a retirement sale for the store.
Co-owner Paula Pucko said she and her husband wanted to go out on top. The store is set to close its doors at the end of January.
"It's just time to retire," Pucko said. "I'd like to spend more time with the family and doing the things we like to do."
"It has been a great career with awesome customers and very loyal support from the community, and it's just time to go," she added.
