WORCESTER, Mass. - A Worcester business is using profits from the Monopoly: Worcester Edition game board sales to give back to a local animal shelter.

Crompton Collective is donating 100% of their Monopoly proceeds to the Worcester Animal Rescue League (WARL), who is featured on the board.

In a Facebook post, Crompton Collect owner Amy Lynn Chase says she chose the shelter in part because it's where she adopted one of her three dogs.

WARL says the money will be used to help with basic medical support and even more complex surgeries if needed.

“I have to tell you getting that message, it already made what was a special day for myself and this organization it just made it all that more special,” Kristin Mullins, WARL executive director, said. (Chase) is a leader in this community and to hear that love coming back to us was so special.”

Crompton Collective currently has 48 Worcester Monopoly boards for sale, but Chase said if they run out she will order more.
