Worcester Public Schools Superintendent Maureen Binienda says the new school will represent ideas brought forward by the community.

"The new Doherty will offer many new opportunities for its students,” Binienda said. “The programs and the designs are developed to meet the community goals that were built on the several visioning sessions that all of us attended.”

The new school building is expected to open in August 2024.
