With the election now behind him, Petty spoke with Spectrum News 1 at his campaign party on Tuesday night about his goals and what he hopes to accomplish.

"I'd love to get Burncoat high school done, do some neighborhood economic development and all the neighborhoods in the city of Worcester, address the mental health issues that are affecting children and adults in the city of Worcester and really bring the city together,” Petty said. “The city needs to come together a little bit stronger than what it has been."

During the campaign celebration, Petty thanked his supporters and the voters of the city of Worcester for still believing in him.
