MASS. - The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) has released the 2021 playoff brackets and rankings for all eight high school football divisions.

Each bracket contains 16 MIAA teams that have qualified for the tournament. The criteria includes winning at least three games and playing at least seven games. Teams that are in the bracket that have played less than seven games received a waiver from the MIAA.

More than 30 teams have been featured in this fall's weekly Friday Night Football Frenzy on Spectrum News 1.

Here are some highlighted teams from our coverage areas and/or seen on the Friday Night Football Frenzy:

  • Division 1: Wachusett Regional (6), Saint John's Shrewsbury (7), and Shrewsbury High (14)
  • Dvision 3: Minnechaugh (10), Fitchburg (12)
  • Division 4: Grafton (4), Northampton (9), Marlborough (13), South High (14) and East Longmeadow (16).
  • Division 5: Pittsfield (8) and Hudson (11)
  • Division 6: Blackstone Valley Tech (8), Oakmont (9), South Hadley (12), Easthampton (13), and Saint Paul Diocesan (15).
  • Division 7: Wahconah (1), Northbridge (4), West Boylston (5), Clinton (8), St. Bernard's (12), Leicester (14) and Lunenburg (16).
  • Division 8: Hoosac Valley (1), Ware (2), Palmer (3), Quaboag (6), Lee (7), Narragansett (9) and Oxford (11)

Every Friday during the high school football season, the Frenzy airs on Spectrum Channels 1 and 776 live at 10:30 p.m. and again at 11:30 p.m.
