WORCESTER, Mass. -The city of Worcester continues to show off its investments in its parks.

On Tuesday, the redevelopment of Indian Hill Park moved into Phase Two.

Phase One began in 2016 and included a new basketball court and environmental work to control storm water.

Phase Two will include a playground, new fields and fencing.

The fields are also home to Joe Schwartz Little League.

Mayor Joe Petty says the work is being done to help the quality of life across the city.

“This is another example of the money we’ve invested in our parks and quality of life issues here in the city of Worcester,” Petty said. “We invest in our neighborhoods. We always have and will continue to do so.”

The city has invested nearly $80 million in its parks and will use another $10 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds.
