NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - A Central Massachusetts business is helping raise money for cancer research at Dana Farber.

Beyond Nutrition in Northborough held a Pink Patch event on Friday with the Massachusetts State Police and Northborough police and fire departments.

They honored a close friend of owner Sarah-Jane Belinskas.

State Police liaison Farrah Gray has also been impacted by cancer and made the connection when she stopped into the store.

“As we talked more, we just sort of developed the idea that we wanted to be able to do something to bring everybody together for this important cause,” Gray said.

“We hope we raise as much money as possible to help those in need at Dana Farber. We have a couple other customers that do come into our shop that are actually there at Dana Farber right now receiving treatments,”Belinskas said. “So this is going toward all their treatments and everything that they have going on there."

Beyond Nutrition posted on social media the fundraising event exceeded their goal of $1,000. A basket raffle will run until October 31.
