WORCESTER, Mass. - Homelessness outreach group Net of Compassion is asking for the public's help heading into the colder months.

The organization provides food, clothing, hot showers, shelter and recovery support.

Pastor Richard Gonzalez says they are in need of men's and women's sweatpants and sweatshirts.

Hotel Grace, a shelter run through Net of Compassion, is in its sixth year.  It was previously used as an emergency shelter during cold weather, but this year they are open every night until May 2022.

Gonzalez, director of Hotel Grace and founder of Net of Compassion, says 60 people use their shower and shelter every night so they go through clothes quickly and any donations they can get are appreciated.

“Hotel Grace is one of the programs of Net of Compassion and that’s what Net of Compassion is all about,” Pastor Gonzalez said. “We’re calling on the community. A lot of people may not have the time to come and volunteer. A lot of people may not have the time to make a meal. But if someone can help...a sweatpants and a sweatshirt and some under clothing, underwear and some other clothing for females, that can help greatly.”

You can purchase items through their Amazon Wish List or drop off directly at the shelter. It's located next to the ascension church on Vernon Street in Worcester.
