MASS. - The MBTA is offering a special $15 Marathon Pass for unlimited travel all day long on Commuter Rail lines across the state on Marathon Monday.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 Boston Marathon was moved from its originally scheduled day in April to October 11.

The special $15 Marathon Pass is available for purchase beginning Monday, Oct.4, until Marathon Monday on the mTicket app and at ticket offices at North, South, and Back Bay Stations. The pass is also available aboard trains via cash or credit card on Oct. 11 only.

The fall 2021 Commuter Rail schedules also go into effect on Oct. 11 and are available at mbta.com/commuterrail

Commuter Rail trains start departing from Worcester's Union Station on Marathon Monday at 4:45 a.m., and on every hour starting at 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Face coverings are required on all MBTA vehicles.
