WORCESTER, Mass. - Guertin's Cafe, one of Worcester's oldest barrooms and dining establishments, is for sale at a significant discount.

The listing price for the Grand Street bar's business and liquor license is $30,000, down from the original price of $125,000.

Guertin's Cafe opened in 1918. The 1,700 square feet property is located at the corner of Grand and Southgate Streets, a block away from the new Table Talk Pies facility, a few blocks from Clark University and less than a mile from Polar Park. 

According to the real estate listing, the new building owner made cosmetic improvements, all equiipment and licenses are in place and a new owner can open the buisness immediately. The lease is for five years, with a five-year extension. Rent is $3,000 per month.

Guertin's Cafe closed around the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and the building was sold to the current owner shortly after. The new owner is currently renovating apartments above the barroom.
