WORCESTER, Mass. - A local artist is setting up shop at a Worcester university this week.

Sharinna Travieso is painting a mural on WPI's Campus Center building.

It’s not the first she's painted in the city. The theme of this mural is "Diversity in STEM." It's a gift to the school from the class of 2021.

Travieso said she's enjoyed spending time at WPI and has gotten great feedback.

“So far people really love it. I get good feedback and compliments and that helps drive me to keeping good. You always want to make sure the people are liking what they see when they walk by every day," Travieso said. "It’s so fun because a lot of the students ask me if I’m an alumni or if I go here."

WPI says this is one of the first exterior murals painted on a college campus in Worcester.
