MARLBOROUGH, Mass. - The Marlborough Labor Day parade is a popular tradition in the area.
This year marked the 69th year of the parade, which has become a symbolic end to the summer.
Like many traditions, the parade was canceled last year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Thousands lined the route on Monday afternoon.
The parade featured historical re-enactment groups, military color and honor guards, marching groups as well as marching bands.
After a year off, residents were glad to be back.
The town says the first parade was used as a showcase for people who served and recently returned from World War II.
