WORCESTER, Mass. - An SUV crashed into a restaurant at 150 Chandler Street early Tuesday afternoon.

The recently opened Brazilian restaurant, Brazierr, is closed indefinitely following the crash into the restaurant's small dining room. The vehicle destroyed tables and chairs

Luckily, no customers were inside and no employees were injured. The driver of the vehicle was taken away by ambulance to a local hospital, according to witnesses.

The building has six apartments, and two commercial spaces. Everyone was ordered out of the building.

Building inspectors and engineers were on site, as well as several Worcester police officers directing traffic and keeping people away from the building. The cause of the crash wasn't immediately known.
