WORCESTER, Mass. - Just a little over two years after starting the job, College of the Holy Cross athletic director Marcus Blossom is leaving to take the same position at Creighton University.

Creighton made the announcement on Twitter on Monday:

Blossom was named director of intercollegiate athletics in May 2019. He assumed the position on July 1, 2019.

He had previously served as the senior associate athletics director for business and finance at Boston College.

Blossom oversaw the many schedule changes and canceled seasons of the 27 NCAA division 1 teams during the COVID-19 pandemic. During his tenure, the Holy Cross football team won back-to-back Patriot League championships.
