WORCESTER, Mass. - The Taste of Shrewsbury Street returns to Worcester Tuesday night with more than 35 restaurants participating.

The annual event includes dozens of restaurants who give out samples of their popular dishes.

Tickets are on sale now for $25 and can be purchased online or picked up at the Flying Rhino on Shrewsbury Street.

Paul Giorgio, publisher of Pulse Magazine and organizer of the event, says it's in it's 23rd year.

"We're coming off of (Worcester) Restaurant Week last week. Skipping a week this week, before we have another big food event in the city of Worcester,” Giorgio said. “Restaurants need the help. It's been a tough year for the restaurants in Worcester."

The event is August 24 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Proceeds will go towards the beautification of Shrewsbury Street and to local charities.
