CHICOPEE, Mass. - London Stinson, 12, has been dancing pretty much his entire life.
"When I started dancing, I was like 2," Stinson said. "I want to be a professional dancer, but I have to practice a lot, like a lot."
He spends about three days a week at the Dance Center in Chicopee. The studio is owned by his mother.
"I do hip hop, acro, ballet, lyrical, modern," Stinson said. "I do a lot, basically all of it."
He said his success is because of the support he has gotten from his friends and family. Stinson does a variety of different performances and will be attending a performing arts school in the fall. He said it is normal to make mistakes and get nervous, but as he learned at a young age, the show must go on.
"Before I go on stage I am nervous and pacing, and my mom is like, ‘stop pacing, you are going to be fine.’ And I am like, a little nervous,” Stinson said. “Like what if I mess up? But sometimes I don't mess up, but when I do I just pretend it didn't happen and keep going.”
Most recently, Stinson did a performance at the National Night Out in Chicopee.
