Restaurant Week kicks off Monday in Central Massachusetts after it was cancelled in 2020 as a result of the pandemic.

The semi-annual event features dozens of local restaurants who offer special discounted menus.

It goes beyond the city this year as restaurants in Northborough, Sutton and a handful of other local towns will take part.

The Compass Owner Tavern says Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to try new places.

”To the general public, just get out,” Dave Domenick said. “Get out and visit the different restaurants. It’s a good thing. It’s a great deal. It’s good for the restaurants and it will be good for the consumer.”

The Summer 2021 Restaurant Week runs from August 2-14.
