WORCESTER, Mass. - An event brings out dog lovers and beer lovers in Worcester this weekend. 'Bow Wow Worcester' celebrates dogs and art, in collaboration with the public mural curator Pow Wow Worcester and the Worcester Animal Rescue League.

All the events are centered around dogs. On Saturday they had a dog pageant judged by local celebrities. This was followed by a doggie prom where some of the pups dressed up in outfits and had their pictures taken.

Redemption Rock has done smaller dog-themed events in the past, but has never had a three day event. With COVID-19 restrictions lifted, the brewery says it’s great to see the smiles on the people and their furry friends.

“One of the things that we've found in this space is that dogs have always brought so much joy,” said Dani Babineau, CEO of Redemption Rock Brewing Company. “Whether it was right at the reopening and things were really tense with COVID last year and really helping all our staff and customers. Having dogs has brought so much joy to our space. So to do something that is completely dog centered definitely puts people in good spirits."

Food was provided by Mrs. Moroconi’s Ice Cream. The brewery will have a movie night and Quite Fetching Dog Bakery will have some snacks for the pups on Sunday.
