Nothing says Father's Day like taking in a baseball game, and many celebrated the occasion at Polar Park with the WooSox.
Thousands turned out to see the team take on the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, including the Johnsons. The trio of grandfather, dad, and son all had on matching shirts to mark the occasion. They said it was a great chance to take in the new ballpark as a family.
"Just walking around, taking a look at everything, enjoying the beautiful weather," said Glenn Johnson, who was joined by his father and son at the game. "We'll go back, have a little cookout, you know. It's kind of nice taking three generations to the game."
According to the WooSox, about a third of the team's roster are dads. Following the game, families were able to play catch on the field and kids got to run the bases.
