WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Public Schools [WPS] will host COVID-19 vaccine clinics for students ages 12 and older.

Starting next week, all Worcester public high school students will be offered the Pfizer vaccine, and walk-up clinics will be offered to middle school students the following week.

Massachusetts requires consent for anyone under the age of 18 to get the vaccine, so most high school and all middle school students will need to have a parent or guardian with them.

Vaccine clinics available for high school students:

  • May 18 at Technical High - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • May 19 at North and South High Schools  - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • May 20 at Doherty, Claremont and University Park - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • May 21 at Burncoat High - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Second doses will be available starting June 8th

WPS School Safety Director Rob Pezzella says it's not required, but they do encourage students and family members ages 12 and older who want the vaccine to come to one of the clinics.

"We are looking forward to the amount of students that will take this offer, along with their families, and be able to provide more immunity to our students, especially coming back in September," Pezzella said.
