WORCESTER. Mass. - Bob Fouracre was a legendary figure in the local broadcasting world. He passed away this week.

Fouracre called Holy Cross football and basketball games for 48 years. He also did play-by-play for the Boston Celtics with Bob Cousy and for New England Patriots preseason games.

Bob was well known for calling candlepin bowling for years at the height of its popularity in the state, and he was inducted into the International Candlepin Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2008.

Fouracre was inducted into the Holy Cross Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2007. He bled purple, he loved Holy Cross.

For many in Worcester, Fouracre was known for his sense of humor. He loved teasing everyone around him.
