WORCESTER, Mass. - The Canal District in Worcester is getting a technology facelift for drivers looking to park.

In an effort to meet the increasing demands of parking in the city, Worcester has partnered with Flowbird Group and Wescor Parking to implement a pay-by-plate parking system.

Instead of having parking meters lined up and down the sidewalks, there will be Flowbird Strada Smart kiosks.

The new parking system will allow drivers to either pay at the kiosk or pay via an app and allows the City to use real time data track parking throughout the city and determine which areas are the most busy and at what times.
