WORCESTER, Mass. - A new art installation is letting people experience a POW! WOW! Worcester mural in 3D.

The set of large-scale 3D glasses manufactured by artist Michael D'angelo, allows people to see Insane51’s Mooncake  mural on the Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts in downtown Worcester.

"At some of Insane51's art gallery showings he's had large scale 3D glasses like this, and we all agreed that's what our city needed as part of this wonderful mural experience. Now any viewer can come. They don't' need to remember their 3D glasses and they can see the full spectrum of the artists intended work,” said Travis Duda, Graphic Designer for POW! WOW! Worcester.

If you're looking for something to do during April Vacation week, POW! WOW! Worcester’s Co-Director, Lisa Drexhage says they have a map showing the location of this and other murals in the city.

"That map includes murals in downtown Worcester which is a very walkable area to take your kids as well as a bunch of schools throughout the city of Worcester. You can have a whole day trip planned just checking out our murals,” said Drexhage.

The double-exposure painting features two compositions on top of each other using both red and blue tones.  When viewed through 3-D glasses, the two separate images become easier to see.

The 3D glasses were installed on April 14.
