WORCESTER, Mass. - The City of Worcester is looking to expand its electric vehicle charging station offerings.

Using a $150,000 state grant, the City will install 13 new electric vehicle charging stations at the Worcester Common, the Franics J. McGrath parking lot on Salem St. and at the Pearl-Elm municipal parking garage on Pearl St.

The stations will help the City meet their Green Worcester goals. Each location will have at least three new charging stations.

The City currently has two charging stations at Union Station and one at the Major Taylor Blvd. municipal garage.

The new charging stations are expected to cost the city roughly $7,000 per year to maintain.
