Former Grafton High football standout Ifeatu Melifonwu is setting his sights on the NFL.

The redshirt junior defensive back participated in Syracuse University's Pro Day Friday.

Melifonwu put up impressive numbers, running the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds and posting a 41 ½ in. vertical jump.

The Pro Day was a chance for NFL scouts to see him ahead of the NFL Draft.

"Going into the season my mindset was I’m going to play like it's my last year. At the end of the year, I'm going to see what's up. I just feel I had a really good year, a consistent year,” said Melifonwu.

He finished his career at Syracuse with 71 solo tackles, three interceptions, and 23 pass breakups.

The NFL Draft begins April 29.
